Q: My wedding date has changed, what should I do?
A: It’s to be expected that not everything goes as planned, if the new date is available and within three months of the intended date J’adore Love will be able to accommodate the change. However, if the date conflicts with another event the deposit cannot be refunded.
Q: There are several hours between our ceremony and reception time. Will I still be charged for that gap of time?
A: Although there may be some down-time for the lovely bride and groom, the photographer is still working. They are responsible for capturing certain shots, setting up lighting, backing-up images and/o and prepping for the next set of photos that need to be captured.
Q: Do you have liability insurance?
A: Yes. J’adore Love is a licensed business with full liability coverage.
Q: What happens if we go over the contracted amount of time?
A: Not a problem! Your photographer will be there to capture all of these priceless moments in your life.
Your photographer will let you know that your coverage time is coming to an end at least 15 minutes prior to the end of the coverage time. Over-time pricing is applied at the contracted rate.
Q: Do you travel or shoot destination weddings?
A:We are based in New York, but we love to travel! We have covered weddings and events all over the US and Internationally as well. If your date is available, we are ready to travel! Destination weddings are the same as our package pricing + travel expenses.
Q: Can you explain what a “first look” is?
A: Sure. A first look allows the bride and groom to see each other for the first time prior to their ceremony allowing for the bride and groom to share some quality time together and prepare for their “I do’s” in an intimate setting. It’s a really great experience to share with each other on your wedding day.
Photography Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I have all of the images from my event, even unedited?
A: Quality over quantity is the most important thing to us here at J’adore Love. Delivering anything other than the up-most beautiful photos would be inconsistent with our brand. You’ll receive flattering, beautiful images that highlight the best parts of the day, not the oopsies. 😉
Q: We would like to print our photos. Are we be able to get the full quality of the shot?
A: Once you receive your photos you can order prints through J’adore Love. You will also have the option can take the files to a photo-lab of your choice for printing.
Q: Can we schedule our engagement session on a weekend?
A: Although weekends may seem like a great time for a photo shoot, a large portion of the weddings we book take place during the weekend. For this reason, we usually shoot engagement sessions during the week to avoid scheduling conflicts.
Q: We just got back from our honeymoon, are the photos ready yet?
A: Rome wasn’t built in a day but once it was completed it sure was magnificent and your photos will be too! The complete process takes approximately 8-10 weeks.
Q: Are we able to give you a list of shots we’d like taken?
A: Each photographer is fully equipped with a list of shots that should be taken throughout your event. Some food for thought though, if the day is spent checking off a list those special, intimate, priceless moments that can occur at the blink of an eye may be missed. Trust your photographer and allow them to have a full range of creativity when capturing moments that you’ll later be able to treasure for a lifetime.
Q: Can I post my photos on social media sites?
A: Unfortunately, social media sites diminish the quality when uploading full-resolution photos. Not to worry though we’ve got you covered! Along with your photos, we will send you smaller files with our watermarks that upload well on site such as Facebook and Instagram.
Cinema Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I heard a great song on the radio. Can it be used in our video?
A: In the event that the song is a licensed track that your cinematographer would be able to use, we can definitely use it. However, the cinema team also needs to make sure that the song you have chosen truly represents the moments from your wedding beautifully. There are many points to consider when choosing music for your film. It truly is a work of art so you don’t want to limit the possibilities of its beauty.
Q: May I view one of your wedding films to help make a decision on a package?
A: Of course! The team will show you videos at the meeting and they can email you a direct link so that you can access them at home as well.
Q: How long does it take to get our completed film?
A: Your film is a full production. There is color-correcting on every frame, audio is fine-tuned, etc. The over-all theme is truly a delicate matter when it comes to the editing process. In order to not compromise quality of the film with time restraints, the time frame for completing your film is anywhere from eight to nine months. After that its yours to enjoy for a lifetime.
Q: What is a feature film? How is this different from a traditional wedding video?
A: Your wedding feature will consist of bridal prep, the first look, the venue, memorable toasts, dancing footage, vows, your first dance, etc. Your film will be filled with intimate, priceless moments that will all be brought together into one film to showcase an event that you’ll be able to relive time and time again.
Q: How long can I expect my wedding film to be?
A: Highlights are usually three to five minutes and features are usually 40 to 55 minutes long.
Q: Do you offer cinematography for engagement sessions?
A: Absolutely! It’s a great way to keep the memory of your love story alive. The added bonus? Share your video with everyone to announce that your engaged!
