A Couple Who Trusted the Process
Planning Your Wedding at Bourne Mansion?
The First Look & Portrait Session
We began with a first look, and the conditions could not have been more ideal. The weather was perfect — comfortable, cooperative, and kind to everyone involved. A special acknowledgment to Beauty by Tamana whose work was flawless from start to finish. When hair and makeup hold throughout a full wedding day, it gives the photographer the freedom to fully create without compromise. We moved efficiently through the property, maximizing every corner of Bourne Mansion before the timeline tightened — from the grand staircase to the manicured grounds outside.
Working Through a Full Bridal Party
This was not a small wedding. A full bridal party, a moving timeline, and guests beginning to arrive — this is exactly where experience becomes everything. The right lenses ready, lighting dialed in, and movement efficient. We worked through bridal party portraits and family formals without ever losing control of the pace. No wasted time, no confusion — just clean execution that protected Jason and Crystal's timeline and kept the energy high.
The Reception at Bourne Mansion
Walking into the reception space at Bourne Mansion is a moment in itself. The ceiling alone tells you that this room requires intention. It is dramatic, expansive, and full of depth — the kind of space that demands a photographer who came prepared. Wide-angle lenses and controlled lighting allowed me to capture the full scale of the room while keeping Jason and Crystal at the center of every frame.
Jason and Crystal chose a more integrated reception style — moving through their guests naturally rather than sitting front and center throughout the night. That decision required a different approach from me. More discreet positioning, lower angles, constant awareness of sightlines — all while ensuring complete coverage of every moment as it unfolded. Before the first guest walked in, I had already set up lighting in key areas, tested every trigger, and positioned myself for full room coverage. When the moments happened, I was ready.
Jason and Crystal came into this reception day with something that makes all the difference — a working relationship already in place. I had the honor of photographing their Hindu ceremony, and if you want to see how that day unfolded you can view the full Hindu ceremony gallery here. By the time we arrived at Bourne Mansion, we were not strangers figuring each other out. They already knew how I move, how I direct, and how I think under pressure. I already knew their energy, their dynamic, and what brings out the best in them in front of the camera.
That foundation of trust is not something money can buy — it is built through experience together. And on a reception day at a venue as dynamic as Bourne Mansion, it allowed me to step into full creative direction from the very first moment. No warm-up period. No hesitation. Just execution from the start.
A Wedding at Bourne Mansion — Jason & Crystal
Bourne Mansion has a way of stopping you in your tracks the moment you walk through the door. The grand entrance, the iconic staircase, the rooms that each carry their own character and depth — this venue is not just beautiful, it is built for photography. Every corner presents a different composition, a different story, a different opportunity to create something extraordinary. This was my first time photographing here, and from the moment I walked in I understood exactly why couples choose this place for one of the most important days of their lives.
